Textures Handmade Market

I LOVE to wear dresses in the summertime. Living in Florida can be kinda miserable, but being able to thrown on a lightweight dress and some flip flops or my favorite cowgirl boots can make things at least a little more bearable. I found this amazing designer on ETSY today and I fell in love with her many styles.

This dress (made by THIMBLEandACORN) is made of soft lightweight stretch cotton and is funked up with a cowl made using a recycled mens button down shirt, which can be worn buttoned or undone for different looks.

I totally heart this dress and you should too!!

I look at ESTY several times a day which means I am constantly stumbling upon new favorite things. I decided that this blog is a great place for me to showcase all of my newest favorite things…. kinda like Oprah. So, here we go…

We just got the most beautifully dainty jewelry in. I had the pleasure of meeting Betsy Carr of Foundling back in January. She was delightful as is her jewelry line. Foundling incorporates pages from old books, vintage patterned fabrics, timeworn beads, illustrations and recycled silver.  I am a lover of old things being transformed into new things, and I work in a very similar mindset, so I truly appreciate these wonderful gems!!

So… as you may or may not know, we are moving locations. We are super excited about all of the new and exciting opportunities that we will have in our new space.  We are always looking for new artists to be a part of the Textures community, especially now that we are moving. If you are an artist or you know of an artist who might be interested in selling their wares through Textures, now is the time to apply. We have a spiffy new electronic application , so it’s super easy to submit your info.

As of now it looks like we will be opening on July 1st with a Grand Opening to follow soon there after.
